Credit Hire Solicitor NQ+

Location: Liverpool City Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Hire Solicitor to join our expanding team in our office based in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.

The successful candidate will use their expertise to handle a full caseload while aiding in the development of junior staff and the wider team.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Manage a caseload of small claim, fast track and multitrack credit hire claims from inception to conclusion with maximum speed and efficiency ensuring client satisfaction along the way.
  • Have good knowledge of the CPR, have credit hire experience and be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Review of liability and quantum before devising a case plan
  • Instruct Counsel, make Part 36 offers, Issue Court Proceedings and be proficient with litigation
  • Achieve targets, including billing and settlement

PI Solicitor

Location: Liverpool City Centre
Salary: Negotiable, DOE

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PI Solicitor to join our expanding team in our brand-new offices based in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Department Manager to take the practice into the future to grow and expand the PI team.

The role will involve managing your own caseload of EL/PL Personal injury files

 

  • 1-5years+ PQE
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and meet targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
  • You will have a good understanding of and be able to apply the pre-action protocol for personal injury claims, the Civil Procedure Rules and The Rehabilitation Code 2015 as required.
  • Deal with all aspects of injury cases including investigating liability, causation and quantum in a timely manner in accordance with the relevant rules, protocols and internal SLAs.
  • Manage files efficiently including adherence to timescales, deadlines, use the case management system to progress cases, maintain a good diary system and accurately record time
  • You will have a proven track record handling all aspects of claimant PI files from instruction to settlement including litigated cases.

 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the area, excellent communication skills, presentation, and the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.

Costs Draftsman

Location: Liverpool City Centre
Salary: Negotiable, DOE

Responsibilities:
Drafting Bills of Costs & N260 cost schedules (electronic bill drafting is desirable but not necessary)
Preparing Precedent H Cost Budgets and Budget Discussion Reports
Undertaking cost negotiations and maximising cost recovery
Providing advice and guidance to fee earners on cost issues
Issuing Part 8 proceedings and drafting N252s for formal bill service
Preparing Points of Dispute and Replies
Ability to risk assess offers and utilise case law to resolve disputes.
Dealing with provisional/detailed assessment hearings including preparing bundles
Post-assessment work including calculation of assessment figures and oral reviews.

Skills
Ability to manage own caseload from cradle to grave from a cost perspective.
Strong knowledge of case law and Civil Procedure Rules
Ability to meet targets and work under pressure with high turnaround workload.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and opponents.

What you will be offered:
Flexible Office hours between 8am and 6pm (35 hours per week excluding hour for lunch)
